Who is behind SwissOwners
I am Ivan Schmid, entrepreneur and Managing Director of SCHMID Business Solutions in Steffisburg. Together with my interdisciplinary team I am building SwissOwners – the marketplace I would have wished for myself as a founder and seller of my own company shares.
Why SwissOwners?
Every year, thousands of Swiss companies look for a successor, new shareholders or equity. At the same time, many people would like to invest in an SME, take over a company or bring their experience to a board of directors. They often only find each other through personal connections – or not at all.
SwissOwners brings both sides together: clearly, confidentially and at fair, fixed prices. No commission on the sale price and no pressure – the parties settle the deal directly, ideally with their own advisors.
Anyone buying or selling a company needs proven specialists. That is why SwissOwners is also the ideal platform for our partners: M&A advisors, succession advisors, fiduciaries, valuation experts, lawyers and banks. They present themselves in the partner directory, support buyers and sellers and publish their mandates directly on SwissOwners – automatically via import if desired.
My background
For more than 25 years I have been building digital companies together with partners – as founder, CEO and board member. Twice I have sold my shares in a company I built. I know both sides: looking for capital and partners as well as selling and handing over.

Subsidiary of Payrexx AG based in Liechtenstein. It is applying to the Financial Market Authority Liechtenstein (FMA) for a licence as a payment institution in order to serve customers in Liechtenstein, Germany, Austria and other European countries in the future.

What we stand for
A person – not an algorithm – checks every offer, profile and exchange before it goes online.
The company name stays hidden until you approve a request. Interested parties sign a confidentiality agreement first.
We do not earn from the deal but from a fixed listing fee. So we have no reason to push you into a transaction.
For SMEs, startups, family-owned companies and everyone who wants to take over a company, invest or take on responsibility on a board.
